ढग भरल्या आभाळातून
पाउस पडो न पडो
त्याना ह्याचे काहीच घेणे देणे नसते
ह्यांच्या नळाला पाणी येतेय
तेवढेच त्याना पुरे असते …

शेतकर्याचे काय झाले ..?
शेतमजुरांचे काय झाले …??
कसा देशोधडीला लागलाय
ह्याना न काही घेणे देणे असते
दुष्काळी कामासाठी
ह्यांची सोय होतेय
तेवढेच त्यांना पुरे असते

कशी पोटासाठी येतात दुष्काळी प्रदेशातून
ही अर्धपोटी माणसे
कशी हवालदिल होऊन जातात
ही माणसे
ही पोरे ,ह्या बायका
दुष्काळी कामासाठी दीड दमडीने विकली जातात

कशी बळी पडते ह्या दुष्काळी भागातील
एखादी स्त्री
एखादी पोर ….
कधीतरी ह्यांचे बिंग फुटते, नाही असे नाही
पण हे पक्के बिलंदर असतात
हे अलगद नामानिराळे होतात

किती कनवाळू असतात ही मोठी माणसे
ह्याना घरात काम देऊन ह्यांच्या पोटाची
काळजी घेत असतात
महान महान म्हणवून ही घेत असतात
हे गेल्यावर ह्यांचे पुतळे उभारण्यास
हीच मंडळी घाम गाळीत असतात

ढग भरल्या आभाळातून
पाउस पडो न पडो
त्याना ह्याचे काहीच घेणे देणे नसते
ह्यांच्या नळाला पाणी येतेय
तेवढेच त्याना पुरे असते ..!
