मी बरसलो आज शब्दांतुन ,
तीला एकही शब्द ना कळला कधी मी ओघळलो आज डोळ्यांतुन ,

तीचा थेबंही ना गळला कधी.
सोडुन मान सन्मान माझा मीच दगडापुढे हात जोडीले मी कोसळलो दरड होऊन ,

तीचा एकही बुरुज ना ढळला कधी.
तीची एकही बोली नाही आज लिलावात या माझ्यामी बसलो बाजार मांडून ,

तीने भाव माझा ना विचारला कधी.
आयुष्यभर तीच्या कुपंणाबाहेर जागा माझी नित्याचीमी राहीलो कुंपण बनुन ,

तीने हा निवडूंग अंगणात ना लावला कधी.
सा-याच राती तीच्या चादंण्याच्यां मिठीत गेल्या मी जगलो काजवा होऊन ,

तीला उजेड माझा ना दिसला कधी.
आठवतय रोज जाळं तीच पसरवण तळ्यात चद्रंबिबांसाठीमी राहीलो शिपलं बनुन ,
माझ्यातला मोती तीने ना शोधला कधी

मी होतो पाखरु जळणारा ती ज्योत होती मला जाळणारी मी जळालो पाखरु बनुन ,
तिला एकही चटका ना लागला कधी.

मी लाचार इतका की आज माझीच कीव मज यावीमी मला दिले आगीत झोकून ,
तीचा धुराकडेही जिव ना वळला कधी.....................
